Privacy Policy

Zijun Fang ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the Sawari application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Microphone Access

Sawari requires access to your device's microphone to detect the pitch of your shamisen for tuning purposes.

            Real-time Processing: The App processes audio in real-time to calculate frequency for
                        accurate tuning.
No Recording: We
                        do not record, store, or transmit any audio data or conversations.
No Personal Data: The audio signal is used solely for pitch detection and is
                        discarded immediately after processing.

        

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On first launch, Sawari will ask for your permission to track your activity across apps and websites via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Your choice controls how ads are served:

If you allow: AdMob uses your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads.
If you deny: AdMob serves non-personalized ads only. Your IDFA is not used.

You can change this preference at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Data Collected via AdMob (Google)

The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob collects the following data, which may be linked to your identity and used for tracking:

Coarse Location: Approximate location inferred from your IP address, used to serve geographically relevant ads.
Device ID / IDFA: Used for ad targeting, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.
Product Interaction: App launches, taps, and in-app events to measure ad performance.
Advertising Data: Records of which ads were shown and interacted with to optimize future ad delivery.
Performance Data: App launch time, hang rate, and energy usage to evaluate ad load performance. Not used for tracking.
Crash Data: SDK-level crash reports to diagnose issues. Not linked to your identity.

2. In-App Purchases

Sawari offers in-app purchases to unlock premium features. All purchase transactions are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs the collection and use of payment-related data.

3. Third-Party Services

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following data for advertising and analytics purposes:

Coarse location (inferred from IP address)
Advertising identifier (IDFA) or device ID
Ad interaction and product usage data
App performance and diagnostics data

You can opt out of personalized advertising by denying the ATT prompt on first launch, or by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking at any time. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

AdMob also collects anonymized diagnostics data including crash reports and performance metrics to improve ad delivery. Crash data is not linked to your identity.

4. Data Security

We are committed to protecting your information. We do not operate our own servers that store personal data. Data collected by AdMob is governed by Google's security practices. Purchase transactions are handled entirely within Apple's ecosystem and are never shared with us or any third party.

5. Children's Privacy

Sawari is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App uses AdMob for advertising, which applies its own data collection practices to all users. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Deny microphone access (though this will prevent the tuning feature from working)
Deny or revoke App Tracking Transparency permission at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings
Delete the app and all associated local data at any time

7. International Users

Sawari is available globally. If you use the App outside your country of residence, please note that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
